Khao refers to knee in Thai and Noi refers to small. The name came about from our Head Coach, Nigel. He is known to be a smaller weight class fighter, and loves working his knee strikes in his competition. Hence, the gym was named after his fighting style and build. A direct translation would be small knee. Khao Noi is also a technique in the Muay Thai clinch that fighters typically use to strike at their opponent's thighs.
